Gina Gillespie Child Actress - September 5th, 2019
Gina Gillespie (born September 20, 1951) is a former American child actress. She played in many television series. She played the role of 'Tess' in "Law of the Plainsman". She was the first child actor to play Pippi Longstocking in a television or movie adaptation of Astrid Lindgren's book. This was on Shirley Temple's Storybook in 1961. Gina also played the young Blanche Hudson in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? in 1962. Throughout the mid-sixties, Gina Gillespie would continue to be in demand as a featured player or guest star on television. She performed on Ben Casey, Dr. Kildare, Laramie, and The Fugitive among others, before landing a regular role as younger daughter "Mimi" in the sitcom Karen, during the 1964-65 television season. Her last known acting role was in a 1966 episode of NBC's Laredo.
Like many child stars, Gillespie's acting career ended when she reached her early teens. She graduated from Providence High School in Burbank, attended university, then worked as a legal secretary for thirteen years. She was admitted to the California Bar Association in 1988, opened her own law firm under her married name, and has since practiced as a private attorney with specialty in estate planning and elder care issues.

I was very happy to get the mail today & was thrilled to find an envelope for me in the mail! I am a HUGE American Idol fan & Gina was my favorite Season 6. I was a little bummed however about my pictures i got back...the sharpie she used, is rubbing off...but she is really devoted to her fans, as you can see by her lovely letter!!
